Work with Procon

Management Trainee

Engineering Graduates who passed-out in 2020 (very good candidates from 2019 batch can also be considered) and have a flair for design engineering are needed as Management Trainees (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Civil). Knowledge of CAD would be an advantage. Candidates from good institutes having secured engineering admissions through merit seats alone need apply. The candidates should preferably have cleared GATE. Alternatively, they should rank in top five from their institute with consistent score above 70%.

Piping Designer

Job number : PD-02-19

Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: Candidate should have good communication skills and 5+ years’ of extensive design engineering experience in a Consulting / Engineering environment pertaining to Hydrocarbon / Petro-chemical / Oil & Gas sectors.

Description: Good knowledge of piping layouts and conversant with basic documents like PMS, Design guides, Job standards and specifications and process inputs like P&IDs, Line lists etc. Should possess excellent Software skills for 3D conceptualization of lay-out, modelling and detailed design. The candidate should have hands-on experience on 2D and 3D drafting software packages i.e. AutoCAD, Microstation, PDS/PDMS etc.

Should also have experience of extracting and compiling MTOs and other deliverables for the project scope. Exposure to 3D model design reviews, vendor doc reviews, interaction with other disciplines/construction/client etc. desirable.

Civil Designer

Job number : CD-02-19

Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering

Experience: Candidate should have good communication skills and 5+ years’ of extensive design engineering experience in a Consulting / Engineering environment pertaining to Hydrocarbon / Petro-chemical / Oil & Gas sectors. S/he should have good communication skills.

Description: Should be completely conversant with basic concepts of civil design and engineering and adept at 3D modelling of RCC & Steel Structures. Participation in design reviews/inter-discipline interface including squad checks is desirable. Should be capable of reviewing fabrication drawings.

Software skills for 3D & 2D design (SP3D / PDS / PDMS / Microstation / Autocad / Smart sketch etc.) Exposure to detailing SW like Strucad, Tekla etc. would be an advantage.

Civil Engineer

Job number : CSE-02-19

Qualification: B.E / B. Tech in Civil Engineering

Experience: Engineer with 6-10 years’ of experience in design and analysis of RCC & Steel Structures in a 3-D design environment in a Consulting / Engineering organization in Hydrocarbon / Petro-chemical / Oil & Gas sectors.

Description: Knowledge of applicable civil and structural design/ engineering standards covering and IS, ACI, AISC, UBC, ASCE, BS etc. Should be proficient in STAAD Pro for structural analysis and design.

Should possess excellent communication skills and have ability to guide the work of job engineers and designers.

Involvement in Development of Project specific Standard Drawings, Project planning, efforts-hours estimation, design and documents checking, auditing and Scheduling Activities would be an added advantage.

Piping Design Engineer

Job number : PDE-02-19

Experience: Minimum 5 years of piping design & layout experience preferably in Oil & Gas projects in Engineering Consultancy environment.

Description: Responsible for piping design & layout, supporting in 3D PDMS environment. Should be familiar with applicable industry standards and codes. Exposure to engineering for procurement of piping materials and compilation of Mechanical tenders desirable. Should be able to execute assignments requiring independent evaluation and judgment. Produce complete piping design drawings and documents from project specifications and basic engineering. Other duties as assigned.

Good written & verbal communication as well as problem solving skills required. Should be able to maintain CAD proficiency and master current CAD systems. Proficiency in the use and application of plant design software PDMS and MS Office suite. Apart from above skills, s/he should have good analytical skills and an eye for detail.

Stress analysis and Caesar-II exposure an added advantage.

Instrumentation Design Engineer

Job number : IDE-02-19

Experience: Minimum 5 years of C&I design, specification and procurement preferably in Oil & Gas projects in Engineering Consultancy environment.

Description: Responsible for Instrumentation design, specification & layout preferably in 3D environment. Should be familiar with applicable industry standards and codes. Design calculations and development of various C&I datasheets, specifications, drawings and layouts. Familiar with industry standard DCS, SCADA, PLC systems. Should be able to requisition, liaise with vendors, evaluate and review C&I procurement activities including compilation of C&I construction tenders. Principal Engineer - Engineering Systems (PDMS)

Functional Duties:

Strategic

Responsible for delivering the engineering vision as set by HOD – Engineering Systems.
Provides strategic support and input into the overall engineering vision and development plan.
Manage the process of Change management with respect to PDMS.
Responsible for PDMS applications and their interfaces with other applications.
Responsible for keeping up to date knowledge in PDMS development, latest software version releases and rolling out improvements.
Support for PDMS integration with other engineering systems and non-engineering systems as required as part of the development.
Support for developing and maintaining detailed work processes for PDMS.
Support for rolling out new developments and implementing change management at the appropriate level.
Support in developing Corporate EPC Standard Project Setup for PDMS and maintain it.
Support to providing clear plans and goal setting in managing the software related project activities.
Develop SP3D as an alternative to PDMS and integrate with engineering and non-engineering applications.
Providing training plans and providing training for PDMS.
Developing and supporting project specific automation requirement which are received from discipline.
Monitoring of software license utilization and optimizing the license requirement.

Operational: Responsible for reviewing and maintaining consistency of PDMS across engineering operational centers.

Responsible for PDMS setup, configuration and customization related to project listed as below:

Project hierarchy creation (if applicable)
Define Naming Convention(if applicable)
Access rights Management
Database Maintenance running daily and weekly cleanup activities

Minimum Job Requirement:

Bachelor of Engineering Degree, in Mechanical/Civil/Instrumentation/Electrical, having worked in the oil and gas industry for minimum 8 years and upto 15 years with relevant experience in multidisciplinary coordination role and responsibility for delivering PDMS with project execution expertise and development experience in an engineering environment.
